We have provided 73 years of service to retired school personnel. Organized on March 21,1952; United in 1967 with the Cora L. Woodard Chapter of Retired Teachers; Associated with the Texas Retired Teachers Association (TRTA) since 1953.

Our Purpose
The purposes of ARTA are to support our membership in the the overall well-being of members, volunteerism, opportunities to solve problems relative to the needs of retired public school employees and to support a scholarship program through the ARTA Foundation for high school students who intend to pursue a career in teaching.
